To remap the buttons on the MAO, you must connect the MAO to your computer via a USB cable.
Then start the process by clicking the "Connect MAO" button.
You will then need to select the interface via which the MAO is connected to the computer.
This will be labelled USB JTAG/serial... in case there are multiple entries.
Then click 'Connect'.
If the data is read successfully, a settings page will appear where you can assign other functions to the buttons.
